Home Tank Description

Montipora and LPS Dominated Display Tank

Here is the beginning of my blog. My intent is to capture growth with photos and observe growth with good husbandry techniques. Tank is to be run as simple as feasible with all mundane tasks as automated as possible.

I had a critical power failure where I lost upto 8 years of growth and several fishes this month. I got a 13 item ebay frag pack of things no larger than finger nails to replace them. I will add a few select ORA...

I always wanted to do sps corals; so after my first three tanks, I thought, why not. I started out with a 40 gallon breeder, but it didn't go to well. With in the first month I had a good 150 aiptasia! I changed tanks, got 15 more pounds of live rock to add to the only 23 pounds I could salvage from the old tank. It's been running for 6 months now with only one set back. Random, fast acting, fish disease. Both of my fish were near death 3 days after the fist symptoms were noticed. Unfortunatly,...
