Where can I find a pink or orange toadstool leather?

Does anyone know where I can find a pink or orange toadstool leather coral? I saw the picture below on BulkReefSupply's Facebook page.

never seen one, but I would like one.

I've never seen a pink or orange toadstool, only the beige and green. Maybe ask BRS on their FB page....

Absolutely beautiful, if that's not dyed I would love to own one.

Photoshop?
I have never seen a leather with anything close to that color.
Obviously I haven't seen every coral in the world, but it doesn't look right for a leather.

IMO...absolutely dyed...aquacultured has nothing to do with it...most of these are dyed by the shippers just before shipping... the color will start to fade within weeks ... I'm not aware of any long term survival.

^ I'd guess this.

Possibly not even intentional either. The blenny was the focus of the picture, rather then the toadstool. So someone could have adjusted the color balance to make the blenny's colors show better and turned the toadstool pinkish.

Otherwise looks like a standard beige toadstool.

Exactly what I was going to say.

Looks like plastic???

While this is 4 years old, figured I'd still reply since I just discovered this thread.

This is my photograph I entered into the BRS contest and it is 100% not photoshopped. The coral was a toadstool leather coral from Liveaquaria and not dyed. The coloration is pink, but tank lighting helped to enhance the vibrancy.

albano 08/24/2018 06:23 PM

How long have you had it?

CrayolaViolence 08/30/2018 05:33 PM

Did you get it off of diver's den?

CrayolaViolence 08/30/2018 05:35 PM

I sure hope so cause I just bought a pink one off of there...

BeachVacationer 09/03/2018 06:40 PM

I recently bought a yellow one.

rvareef 09/06/2018 10:22 AM

lets see some updated pics of these pink leathers!

CrayolaViolence 09/13/2018 02:27 AM

I have no way to take a picture of it pink because my lights turn everything super blue. FWIW under my lighting, it's more of a mauve color. Maybe closer to a Kenya tree pink? The tiny polyps on it are quite pretty though, each one looks like a tiny flower.

If I can get some better photo lighting I'll take one.

rvareef 09/13/2018 12:20 PM

haha still havnt seen one that neon pink, and check out the saturation on the midas blenny

CrayolaViolence 09/14/2018 06:30 AM

The owner of the picture said that it was the lighting that made it appear that bright of pink. Speaking from experience, right now when I take pictures of my tank, I have stuff showing up as electric blue or even vibrant purple when they are barely close to that color.

Okay, I got a somewhat pink picture. But as you can see my lights turn EVERYTHING blue. The only colors that don't show blue are dark oranges or reds and then they will be anything from dark purple to burn to brick red but never the true red they should be. Anyhow, I didn't want to try adjusting it and get rid of the blues. I did knock back some of the blue glare but that was it.

If I had to describe the pink I'd say its a few shades lighter than pep bismol maybe? Not an attractive comparison, but hey... ;)

also, fwiw, I realized the original photo is of an umbrella coral not a toadstool. I mean, if that matters IDK.
