Concerned about Hammer
Noticed a little while after feeding a loooooong brown strand coming out of my Hammer coral. It broke off before I could snap a pic but this thing was like 8 inches no exaggeration. Any ideas what this could be? Color is still good but it did shrink down to about 40% if it’s normal size while this was going on. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0cb07db05c.jpg

Did you acclimate it to the new light source slowly? If Params are good it could just be expelling waste. Worst case scenario it’s expelling zooxanthellae. I would try moving it to a lower light lower flow area for a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes I increased lighting slowly. Parameters are good, this is just now the first time that I’ve noticed it doing this but I can see on the powerhead where it has happened before and the strings of whatever it is are on the back side of the head. I was hoping for waste but it seems like a bit much to just be waste. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
