Dendro Rescue iZombie style
 

On August 24th I picked up this dead dendro as a rescue from my LFS. Just thought I'd share some progress photos with you guys.

Looks like it got babies on the side. Hope it pulls through for you.

Yeah it developed the Babies in about 15 days. They are pretty small so feeding these guys might be a bit challenging. What I found interesting is that I once left my big dendro colony in the sump, right next to my return chamber, and I stopped directly feeding them for about a month. Surprisingly the colony actually grew substantially faster than when I was feeding them mysis on the regular basis. I might just put these little guys in the same spot and feed my tank as I always do.

Putting it in the sump seems like a good idea to feed the little ones. They would get a fairly steady inflow of little pieces of food. I could get you over the hump.

That is amazing. Considering there is no mouth or tentacles, at least I don't see any, how do you manage to feed it to gain tissue back?

I don't do NPS, but this is incredible. What are you doing/how are you feeding it?

I take a tiny piece of PE mysis, use a knife to smash it until it looks like paste, I add a tiny piece of frozen cyclopeze then I put it in a cup with aquarium water I throw these babies in there and slowly stir the water, not allowing the food particles settle. I keep the colony in there for about 15-20 minutes, and that’s about it.
