Any expected Hurricane Irma impact?

Don't remember which side your farm is on so wondering if there is any expected impact from hurricane Irma?

Be safe.

Currently, it looks like an old-school film at the end of the reel.

Stay safe. I have family in Ruskin who didn't leave. T hey are in the zone which is calling for high storm surge. Good luck with this.

Just put up the last of the plywood for my clueless neighbors ...young kids....new homeowners....guy could not use a drill ...lol....they will learn....

looks like we are going to get the big hit in Tampa....:mad2:

bobt2 09/10/2017 09:01 AM

good luck down there.i guess I got the last rock out.

moondoggy4 09/11/2017 12:38 PM

Stay safe, and lucky for the kids next door they have you as a neighbor.

liverock 09/11/2017 12:41 PM

Lost the roof of my garage....power out last nite 7pm....generator on since then....is a diesel....is sipping fuel....been on 18 hours...burned about 12 gallons so far....am real happy with that...TECO has over 300K without power...in Tampa..am popular with the neighbors for fridge and freezer space...

Yogre 09/11/2017 03:00 PM

Glad you're OK, Richard. Been thinking about you. We've got friends out in Belleair Beach, and my folks are on the other coast in Ponte Vedra Beach. Our friends in the Tampa area were very fortunate and had very little damage. Don't yet know about my folks place, though. They're still at their inland place, the beaches are closed.

liverock 09/11/2017 03:04 PM

Thanks Capt.

The keys got wiped out...have a buddy there.....in Plantation Key...no water/elect/sewer/food/gas

will be days before things change...US1 wiped out....big problems....

Yogre 09/11/2017 03:11 PM

Yeah from everything I've read the Keys got hit really hard. Scary part is how long to reopen US 1 to resupply? Probably going to have to have supplies boatlifted/airlifted. Be safe. All y'all down there are in our thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear you are safe and running with the genny. Any business interrupt? Not just with you but shipping, etc. I am within a few weeks of ordering a 150g package. I was thinking to hold off or go another route but then I figure y'all might need the business.

Thanks for the good words.....we are all good......the warehouse was fine....the flooding did not happen as predicted....generator is running everything fine....all good.....but 1/2 of Tampa is without power.....no stores open yet....and no gas for folks.

Having lived here most of my life, I was ready....had the trucks filled up....and 250 gallons of diesel ready for the generator. I am the only one with power in my neck of the woods.

Going on day three here....my neighbors not so lucky.

Ready to ship rock as usual!

Glad to hear that things are "all good" for you. Also glad to hear you're ready to ship rock! I'll be contacting you about a package as soon as I can get this stand built :)

Still no power here..in Tampa...folks are getting edgy as it is just so hot and sleeping is a hard thing to do in this heat.

My buddy in Islamorada somehow got his power back, one of the very few in the Keys to have power. South of Islamorada is truly just devastated. He says the smell is intense and hard to take. They are finding bodies.....lots of rotting fish/animals everywhere.

His old style flip phone is the only working one he knows of. No cable/internet so I supply whatever info I find here. Water just two hours a day, and not potable. The Keys will be a long time coming back.

pauldrapeau 09/14/2017 10:56 AM

Well... That is not "all good" then...

Good luck and stay safe!

liverock 09/14/2017 01:04 PM

And....

Looks like two more on the way....on the same path as Irma right now.....

I just got power back here in Orlando last night. Hoping you guys aren't too far behind. And looks like everything in my tank made it through ok minus one or two corals.

Good news for you.....still no power in the neighborhood here....am down to about 60 gallons of diesel for the generator.....going to venture out today for the first time since the storm to try to find some more fuel.....as now we are being told it may be another week for power here again.

liverock 09/15/2017 10:46 AM

140 hours....later...

and just like that.....we have power again! Two guys in a power truck from ohio showed up today on the street.....they have been working nonstop...and had that look....

He said, easy one.....30 minutes and I will have your power back on....

I should have been a lineman LOL....:spin1:

smatter 09/15/2017 12:52 PM

The company my wife works for, Hooper Corporation, sent over 60 trucks down there to get the lights back on. Good luck with getting things back in order!

liverock 09/15/2017 01:58 PM

and it may be sooner than later with what is heading here again...does not look good...
