Peppermint Shrimp gone missing

Not familiar with peppermints behaviour so posting to see if this is normal.

I am battling an apstasia outbreak and have had success with peppermint shrimp in the past. The previous pair were an average size and one was a work horse and took care of my previous apstasia issue, the other was only cosmetic as he did not do anything.

I bought 3 little guys 4 days ago and acclimated them at night to avoid stress and haven't seen them since, not a single sign of them. Apstasia is still there but can't seem to locate these guys.

Is it possible that some other fish or critter has made a meal out of them? Or are they really good at hiding ?

Really good at hiding... long story short I had 2 in a 90g before. Couldn't find em, thought they died or were eaten. Fast forward a few months and I transferred everything to a bigger tank and they were actually inside one of the rocks I had. Once they were in their new home, I never saw em again til I broke that tank down lol

Thanks for the quick reply. Hoping that is the case. The Apstasia outbreak is driving nuts and hoping they get to munching soon

I had some before and they only ever came out during the night. I occasionally got a glimpse of them in the very early hours of the morning if I crept up to the tank while still dark!

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing

I bought 5 the other day and three have died. The two that are left only come or when I am feeding
