What eats zoa eating nudis?

Found some tiny nudis on my zoas today. Are there any fish that will eat them or do i have to dip the zoas in medication/treatment?

Manual removal via tweezers, You can also do dips via' Lugols', TMPCC, REVIVE , mixed with Flatworm exit.

You can try wrasses like Yellow Coris, Green seagrass, Lined and Leopard wrasses.

manual removal via tweezers is effort spent in vain to some extent if you dont include a egg search on the polyps every time you have a nudi search session. You will never break the life cycle if all you pick out are adults

The adult is dead. Now the babies remain. Theyre very very tiny. Would a six line wrasse work?

the knack is to break the reproductive cycle. In other words, concerntrait on killing the hatched ones, full well knowing there will be unhatched egg sacks. Then try and kill the freshly hatched ones before they can lay new eggs.

Out of curiosity would a freshwater dip kill the Nudi's and be alright for the Zoos?
I would have thought the little nudi's would fall away pretty quick with that.....

freshwater dip will make any adults or juvis fall off relatively easily if exposed at the time you do, but will not hurt the eggs one bit, nor kill the adults if they were out of exposure to be shaken off

If i dip in FW, how long should i dip the zoos?

flyyyguy 05/20/2009 03:54 PM

I wouldnt bother. freshwater doesnt kill anything. you are just needlessy stressing your polyps some and gaining all but nothing IMO

I don't FW dip, especially with PE's/protopalys and zoanthus gigantus. They all go down hill real fast if I ever FW dip.

I use a product called "CoralRX" and seems to do the trick, trouble is it kills all critters even the friendly ones that people like to receive as hitchhickers.
