No more ESL for gen 5?
 

I've read that there is a new way to control Radion programs.
Does this mean no more ESL?
Will the new program be backward compatible?
I always used ESL, never really go into the reeflink.

Not backward compatible, ESL is no more.

Since I posted this question I have seen mention that the new ( mobius?) may become gen 4 user friendly.
But as far as no more ESL, the are way too many gen 1 through gen 4 Radions out there being used to have it suddenly disappear

I doubt it will disappear but the Gen 5 won't support it

I think gen 4 made after a certain date will be Mobius compatible

Yep, ESL and Reeflink support will not disappear, but starting with the Versa and G5s, they will only be compatible with mobius.
