Should I be concerned?

Have had this BTA from for about three weeks now and he has been doing fine.

Today I noticed some shrinking tentacles.

90 gal tank
Reef Breeders Photon v2+ lights
Salt 1.025
pH 8.2
Mag 1350
Cal 420
All 8.4

I do automatic 2 gal water changes daily.

Feed the tank rods food so it does get some of that.

Broadcast reef roids 2x a week.

How long has it been this way? I don’t think you should be concerned unless it has been more than a day. Mine often looks like this at night or when trying to poop out a meal.

Just today so far.

I did feed roids to the tank yesterday so maybe it is purging but this is unusual behavior for it.

Looks like mine did before it split.

I was hoping it was splitting. That would be a good thing at least rather than sick or something. But since I have not had it very long I thought I was being overly optimistic.

If it does split, my daughter will lose her mind. :)

IDK, I don't like my BTA splitting. It splits because it's stressed. I'd rather see mine get to 12 inches across.
