Top 3 Choices For Lamp

Hello guys,

Let me give you a quick background on what I've got going on.

I had a 50g cube, went too crazy on it. I spent a lot of money and lost a lot of money. I had a failure but a realization the painful way that slow is the way to go.

Anyways, my budget constraints are real w/ expenses around the household.

I started over going a bit bigger to a 70g peninsula. 40"x24"x17" vs. 24"x24"x20".

I took my LED set up (MAXSPECT RAZOR 120W) from the 50g and am using it on the 70g. I upgraded the lens to go 120 degrees so I have better spread. The lamp is sitting lengthwise.

I'm definitely not looking to spend money if I don't have to. Do you guys think I can survive w/ this tank if I plan on having an SPS towards the top of the tank (this is in future, my vision is a single colony surrounded by softies).

If that is not feasible, I would like a clean look am an wondering what recommendation (most likely on the used market) would be recommended

I'm a bit confused due to the 40" length being a bit unconventional for length. Thanks guys.

You can give a orphek Atlantic v4 a try it should cover your tank nicely.

You cold indeed if you keep the SPS within the light length, it could go from mid to top NP. Maxspect grow SPS perfectly fine.
If it were me I would try and find another identical light so you get better coverage and spread on the tank.

If I could not afford another fixture cheapreef would you say that I can be okay as long as I keep everything within the light spread of the razor? :)

If you keep the SPS directly under the light footprint yes as long as your not hanging it too high. I have a few buddies with Razors that grow SPS like weeds under them.
