Deep Blue Rimless 75

I'm getting back into the hobby after a 20 year hiatus and have most things worked out except my tank. Max footprint I can do is 48x18 so that puts me at a 75 or 90 gallon. I was going to go with an Aqueon 90 gallon reef ready but stumbled across the deep blue Rimless. I like the look of not having the top plastic rim as I'm not doing a canopy this time. What I don't like about the deep blue is the overflow box sticking so far into the tank. Do you think it's possible to remove it and replace with an acrylic box?

I've gotten quotes for a custom tank (no, not glasscages) and the prices are at least double which the wife has shot down. I get her point, start with something budget-friendly and if I'm still into this after a couple years get a custom tank made to the exact dimensions I want.

Sure.. You can remove the box...or just get the non reef-ready tank and drill your own holes..
I got the 80g rimless from them and drilled my own holes

I have a 75 gallon deep blue and like it. I have had it for 4 years. The overflow box is a little big but not a big deal for me. I did use better bulkhead as many complain about the ones that come with the tank.

Thanks for the feedback. I watched a couple diy overflow videos on bending acrylic and think im going that direction.

I had a deep blue 75 for two years, then the bottom seam gave out and killed everything
