Acros

If you were running a 4 bulb T5, what 4 bulbs would you use for Acro and sps growth? Would you use 4 different bulbs if you were going for appearance and not growth?

Actinic+ for night viewing
and all four inc
2x Blue+
1x Coral+
For daytime lights. It will have a blue look to the aquarium so if you want a more natural looking setup exchange either a blue+ or Coral+ for aquablue special.

I'd do two blue+ two coral+

I work at a fish store and for SPS growth, we use all ATI blue plus.

I would be 2 CP and 2 PB. All BP is too much of a windex look for me. I like a crisper white that makes the corals pop as well.

The problem with that is this will wash out your pinks and purples.

I would also do 2- bp & 2- cp. To me it would look to blue with any more blue plus bulbs & I wouldn't want a actic because I would want all the par I could get which the blue plus & coral plus will do

A good place to start would certainly be the tried and true 2blue plus and 2 coral plus.
Just go check out Big E's thread.... and be amazed.

Agreed, I have not liked every tank I have seen that runs all blue plus. Very washy Windex look with certain colors being limited.

Op I would get some used bulbs from someone to experiment with or look at others tanks. With 4 bulbs, every bulb you use makes a dramatic difference in the color you see.

I'd also add a purple plus, along with 2 blue's and a coral. That's the mix/ratio I use on mine even though I use a few more bulbs (24 to be accurate :))
