I think you would call this a 100g, a standard 90g is 48" long and yeah i could tell yours was longer. 100g sounds cooler also.

915MANG 06/09/2012 02:01 PM

Cool, My 100 gal in progress. does sound better.

jtinoco 06/13/2012 01:40 PM

Looking good.

915MANG 06/13/2012 10:48 PM

Thanks! I cant wait to get some more equipment/corrals/lights ect.... In time i guess, I want it all now!

pnavarro170 06/14/2012 10:14 AM

I know how you feel, i have been pretty fortunate to save up money and plan it out a couple of times. and buy all you want at first and still program some money in for corals and fish. its way more fun that way. lol even then your gonna want more so dont worry about it, it will come.

rpjaws74 07/01/2012 12:44 PM

nice tank man!!

915MANG 07/01/2012 01:10 PM

Thank you, its getting there. Thanks to you guys

pnavarro170 07/03/2012 09:06 AM

We will get it full sooner than later. lol. and hey since your getting into corals. its not really needed all the time. but have you looked into maybe starting to dose cal and alk. i use bionic 2 part and its helps out alot. then you got to start testing for it though.

915MANG 07/03/2012 09:37 AM

I want to learn how to dose. I'm testing for alk and calcium every week as I do my 5 gallon (weekly) water changes. I have the REEFMASTER API kit.But I m still getting used to it. Im going to use what you guys use. Thanks for the info!

pnavarro170 07/07/2012 11:25 AM

the bIONIC is just basically 2 different bottles and you would by hand dose probably around 30ml of each a day but it can vary a bit depending on what your system takes in. thats why checking what the alk and cal are at alot more at the beginning to make sure your not over dosing

A few new livestock from my LFS. I also changed up the rock scape. I changed one thing and ended up changing the whole thing. Its coming along. :D

915MANG 07/13/2012 09:23 AM

Just wondering, I got a hippo tang yesterday, and it was swimming fine all day. Then when the blues came on, it wedge itself into the live rock. I thought it was a goner, but today its out and swimming. So I guess this is normal? Thanks for any info

pnavarro170 07/13/2012 09:34 AM

yeah, mine likes to hide also at night time in the rocks. no worries. mine also took a week or more to feel totally comfortable and swim around. and good job on the scape and video !

915MANG 07/13/2012 09:38 AM

Thanks! I was worried about the little guy!

TimGentry 07/13/2012 10:28 PM

My Blue Hippo does the same at night. Squeezes into a real small opening in the rocks and stays there all night.

915MANG 07/14/2012 01:42 PM

Thanks Tim. I was worried at first, Im glad its normal for them to hide at night. As soon as the moon lights come on, its gone.

jtinoco 07/14/2012 11:57 PM

Mine stays out during the Actinics. Once they go off she hides in the rocks.
