Bivalve on my Octospawn?

Recently (one week or so) I have noticed that my Octospawn has not been opening up completely. So I started to really check it out and it seems like there is something living on the skeleton. When I tap the tank it closes up like a bivalve. I highly doubt it is another head growing. I will post pictures below. Im curious if someone has an idea, if bot I will pull the coral out and try to peel off whatever it is on there. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bca39664c5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6000eb0c39.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5807a33b57.jpg

What you describe is certainly plausible. It's tough to tell from the pics but it looks like something might be there. If it's bothering the coral I would remove it as you mentioned.
