WTB: External overflow
Looking for a external overflow as my tank is tempered and i cannot drill. (40 gallon breeder)
Preferably 2 pipes. If you are someone or know someone who can make one/makes them pm me and we can talk |
Only the bottom is usually tempered

Yes, if you can drill the sides, the newer ghost-style overflows (such as the Synergy Reef Shadow) are much better than the older style with U-tubes that can lose a siphon and cause a huge mess.

I know a drilled tank with a ghost overflow but as I stated before it's tempered glass on all sides

CPR overflows are nice. Worked well for me. Can be a little loud, but tuning the air intake is key. Even using a tiny air pump helps.

I have a cracked CPR cs 100 that has been sitting around since 2012. The crack isn't structura or importantl IMO as it sits above the operation water line. Yours free if youll pick it up in davis. I also have an uncracked pristine same model one I can sell it you are still looking after thanksgiving (at my mom's house in another city). PM phone number for crack pictures thanks.

I have an Eshopps PF800. Might be too big for a 40b but if you're interested let me know. I opened the package and looked at all the parts but I never used it. I got it from Dr Fosters for $68
