MP40 motor/magnet

Ok.
So, I had an older dry side that was getting noisy and I decided to try and replace the bearings on it myself.
Long story short .... I ended up destroying the magnet inside the motor.
The motor itself is still fine, I just need to replace the magnet/bearings.

I did order a new QD dry side to get the pump working on my main display tank.
I would like to get this older one working again to maybe use on my frag tank but, it is not worth buying another $200 dry side ..... any chance of just getting the part I need or am I just S.O.L.

I hate to just throw it in the junk pile when I know it is easily repairable ....

Unfortunately, I don't know of a source that you'd be able to get that magnet. there might be one that you can get with the right shape and hole, but you have to pay particular attention to where the magnetic poles are are located. If I remember correctly most cylindrical magnets have the poles on opposite sides, these vortech magnets have to have the north and south on the same side.

Your best bet is to either comb through this thread, or post you're question in there, it's an old thread, but I'm sure that many of the main guys are still lurking around.
