Lymphocystis

I recently acquired 3 Bartlett's Anthias and an Auriga butterfly. Since the Bartlett's are schooling fish and the butterfly is peaceful, I thought that they'd do ok in a 30 G QT. All of them developed lymphocystis after 10 days. I split them up into 2 tanks. Another week later, 3 of the 4 have improved significantly. I wonder if it will be to introduce them to the display tank after signs of lymphocystis resolve? How long after signs have resolved should I wait?

I'd give it an extra week. You might add Selcon, a nutritional booster, to give them a little dietary help.

Usually the best cure is to simply give the fish a stress free life and the virus will slowly subside and the fins will repair themselves. This can take many months. Like most viral infections, even in humans, the first outbreaks are the most serious, whilst the immune system "learns" how to suppress it, the outbreaks become less severe over time assuming the organism survives the initial outbreaks.

Thanks for the responses. I couldn't find any information on how long I should wait before introducing fish who have recovered from lymphocystis to the display tank.
