Brightwell Lugols Iodine overdose

This morning I was attempting to do my weekly dosing of 2 drops of Iodine into my Reef. while dosing the rubber bulb cracked and dropped approx half the glass tube of Iodine into the tank. I ran a test using the Red Sea Pro Iodine test kit and it was higher than the max .09. I did a 15% water change and currently mixing some more water, added carbon. Any other suggestions or thoughts on what to do?? So far I'm not seeing any negative affects. Thanks in advance.

Hello! Sorry for the late response. I've been traveling. Carbon and water changes are about all you can do, but I suspect that the carbon will clean up the water column quickly enough. I suspect that any damage is done fairly quickly after the iodine is mixed into the water column. That's not that bad, in any case.

You're welcome! I meant to say that the overdose wasn't all that bad. Sigh!
