Hi just my two pennys worth. I have used the AF range at recommended dose rates for close to a year and never saw a lightning of coral colour? I have often thought the same thing as you but never got around to posting the question.
I would be very interested to hear peoples experience on dosing to get that pastel look that you see in the AF tanks.
