One XR30w won't be enough for a 4' tank. You would be better off with 2 XR15w's to start with and could always add a third if needed. I just bought 3 XR30wgen 4 pros to replace my Kessil a360w's. Didn't like them. One one the tank covered about 30". I just sold 2 of them and selling the 3rd. I just bought 2 Kessil AP700's. I made the switch to have more control ability. Now I just need to sell my 4 a360w's. I personally like the natural look of the Kessil shimmer.
