I do 5 to 25% water changes about monthly depending on what I’m trying to accomplish. I have also been experimenting with the Dutch Synthetic Reefing method. My only issue is with test kits. Boron test kits are unavailable in the US and the Salifert iodine test kit I have always reads 0, even with a batch of freshly made Instant ocean ASW. If these two tests weren’t a challenge, I’d be happy with the method. I may have to go back to regular water changes or consider Triton.
