I think you are right. I'm no scientist but the dead giveaway it me that it isn't dinos is that there are no air bubbles on the stuff like you get with dinos. Another thing is this stuff doesn't grow on sand like dinos do either. I know it's difficult to tell it's not dinos from my crappy iphone pictures, but looking up pictures and details about lyngbya and its characteristics, I am confident enough that it isn't dinos and it likely is this lyngbya or something very similar.
