Yep. I have wondered forever why nobody uses glass strips in the corner either.. Finally a few companies are doing this on the bottom and the side corners of the tank. You may think a thin triangular piece of black glass would look obstructive in the corner of a tank -- but nope, it doesn't. In fact, it looks exceptionally slick, like the most perfect silicone line you've ever seen.
I'm a huge fan of stuff like this, as well as layered bottoms made with PVC and such. There's some great stuff going on in tank design these days.
