forgot to say also that unless you glue it in place, every time you shut off your return (like when you do a water change, or when feeding), the "modular pre-skimmer" will fall off the grate and sink to the bottom of your tank and then you gotta fish it out. it's basically only held in place by the force from the flow of water going over it. super annoying. just use a few small dabs of super glue and glue that sucker in place.


I have it in there now with just the flow holding it. Once I do the first water change I’ll glue it up. Thanks for the info!
