i agree with spleen, i dont think that it will trap any more waste. just probably some dead spots that is not getting enough flow will likely have waste buildup. ill probably just take out the sand a little each day until i have a SSB. sounds good..?

i have the main light on about 4 hrs a day and algae take advantage of it. i see more diatom spread on the sand where the conch did not eat it. im going to avoid having any hermits. which snail eat diatom off the sand? ceriths? nassarius?
