Back to the original question and the first response. I have a wp40 and a wp25. The flow out of a wp25, even on high is no where near the flow of the wp40 on medium.
The plus side if the wp design is the directional abilities as too wide a path can be a problem with blasting corals that are just under the pump.
Like wise the stronger narrower path could be an issue depending on what you want. ..chose your poison
However using the wp25 as a comparison of the flow path of a wp40 would be a mistake.
