A little late for you but for anyone reading this with the idea to do it. A long long time ago when I did a tear down I found that making a cutting tool by getting solid guitar strings and wrapping them around wooden handles made very quick work of cutting the glass panels apart once you got the trim off. Kind of like flossing teeth.
