just got off the phone with Central Pet (Oceanic) they are sending me the replacement brace, gotta talk to a friend of mine that is going to help replacing it...

i would get the new tank and repalce the center brace, now you have two tanks

Switching over tank would be a lot of work

I could not keep both tanks... nor do I have room for it... I would have to bring the old tank back to the store where I purchased it... I actually saw the tank they would have replaced it with its really an ugly tank compared to the one I have, the glass is really green too... is easy to forget how green the non starphire glass is when you dont look thru one for a year

the more I talk to people about it the more comfortable I am with the idea of the repair, parts are on the way so wish me luck!

I wouldn't worry about it much at all. Its an easy fix. I've also run a 180 (fresh water)without any brace for a couple years now. bows a little, but still holding.

But then I've flooded my living room so many times I don't even worry about it anymore.
