IMO put the emperor before the tang.
Angels seem to be more vulnerable to aggression than tangs, while the aggression displayed would be about the same. |

Only one thing I am considering...swapping out the purple tang for a tomini.
Thoughts? Peace, Chip |

I would definitely replace the purple tang with the tomini. Watch the emperor, they get quite aggressive especially as they grow larger. Mine is about 8" and is the complete boss of my 210, even over large eels. I think I will need to move him before he gets too much larger.

What are the opinions of a regal/hippo tang instead of the tomini?

Hippo's are trouble when it comes to disease/ich in particular. If you get one, you should be prepared to quarantine and treat this fish regularly. If you add a purple tang def. add the emperor first. That would be a huge mistake to add a purple tang 3 weeks before most fish in general. tomini's are, really an ugly fish. If your looking for a good algae eating tang, go with an orange shoulder. They are very peaceful and eating machines. My personal favorite tang is the blonde naso. Very beautiful, and one of the most peaceful fish i've ever owned. They are also both very hardy.

Well, I meant opinions as far as compatibility with the other fish. I've kept a hippo before and never had one problem with disease. It ate out of my hand and was a fat healthy fish. If I can find the pictures of that tank I'll post them here...had a great vlamingi as well.

Right now I'm leaning toward the hippo simply because of the color. Peace, Chip |

I'm glad there's like a month and a half before I even have to decide on the tang, let alone add it. LOL. Too bad I can't add all of them.

As far as aggression goes between a Naso & Emperor should be fine as long as the emperor is still small.
I also have a juv. Emperor that's about 4 inches in my 240 that the Naso will be going into when he is done with his QT. As far as growing speed I'm not sure about that. This is my 1st Naso. |

Really slow growers... One of the slowest in my tank, but they need to be fed often.
