Want to push water about 55 feet....

Can I do with an Eheim 1262? In my perfect world, my mixed salt water, made in my garage in a 44 gallon bin, I want to be able to push that through a cut garden hose attached to the Eheim, and to my tank, about 40 feet away, give or take. It would then have to go up 5 feet to get into the tank. Would it have enough power to do so?

Lateral movement of water is basically zero work. Its vertical lift that counts.

Yes, You'd still lose a measurable amount of flow, but out of 900gph you would still be doing well.

I use a Mag5 to move "used" water (waterchange) out of my sump about 50' around the wall to a floor drain. I also have a Mag 9.5 that pumps from my mix tank via the same PVC plumbing back to the sump. It takes less than 5 min to pump 25g for water changes.

A 1262 works. Is this something you're looking to purchase? I use a mag 24 to push water 1 story up with 50 ft flex PVC. You can find em used for $100. I think it pumps more than my regular garden hose .

I don't think you will want to use the garden hose and you will probably want to look into something else. I thought I remember reading somewhere that they are not safe to use with tank water.
