yup, it actually really helped with the tank temps in the winter. I set that tank up at my old house in NY. I sold and moved to FL, the new owners ripped it all out and left up a half wall! I offered to fly up and take it apart for them and try to take all the reef replica stuff, but they found out there was almost 2k in the decorations alone. Oh well!

Lowes or home depot carry most sizes in stock, I think Lowes has a better selection.

Here's my take on a Euro-in-wood look for a custom 48x31 front.

Underlying stand wood stained or painted black. Solid doors of Sapele or Khaya, with Cocobolo for the horizontal trim.

Trying to decide on a tank 24 or 30 deep. Expect to go LED lighting which will reduce the canopy height by up to half.

There's a place here called sutherlands that sells them unfinished (you save a lot that way) I bet if you call around you may find some somewhere. I personally make my own, and just today finished 3 for a fellow reefer. A lot lot cheaper that way!!!

Making doors just sounds hard I will have to search around. I found a local reefer (works for a cabinet place) who built stands for other reefers, but too me, prices are way too much. wanted 65$ a door.

Solid and flat panel doors are fairly easy to make and can be done with only a table saw - use mitered corners for the flat panel. Add a router table and you can make standard flat and raised panel doors - even without fancy door panel bits. If you make a solid panel door, you can bevel the edges with a table saw or route a profile with just a router (not table required).
