I like how you've separated the tank into zones.

Very nice tank Seapug! It kind of seems like a rarity for a Mixed Reef tank to be all that popular anymore, and to be awarded tank of the month is a great achievement. I personally find mixed tanks to be the most interesting as well as challanging. It's difficult to find flow/lighting that will give the SPS what they need while not overpowering the Softies. Also i like the simplicity of your system. Don't get me wrong, it is cool to see a completely automated system like Double J who won TOTM a couple months ago, but it is definately not a necessity. I think this is a great tank for newcomers to see so they have comfort in knowing that you don't really have to break the bank to have an outstanding tank. Congrats to you, and again, very nice tank!

I've never tried it but I've heard it's possible if you use a tile saw and get part of a mouth.

Ohhhhh ohoho!!!!! Snap!

Oh My God I almost had a heart event...
Logging on and seing YOUR tank on the front cover.
I wish you could've seen my face as I did this whiplash indusing double-take. ROTF

Folks Seapug, and his tank of mystal qualities, are the reason I'm here, a member of reef central.
Pictures of Seapug's tank were the first thing I saw here. I logged in for the first time here. And after digging and digging and poking around various sections and threads of this RC forum to learn about stuff WAM! I saw this photo of this gorgeous mystical tank, unassumingly, buried quietly in the back pages and pages of zoanthid forum threads.
I saw it , and I HAD to know more.
I began to ask this Seapug so many questions about reefkeeping, learning stuff through his experience with his tank.
Because after seeing this dude's tank I was like "Well. This is clearly the person to learn things from."
Poor Seapug. He deserves totm just from having to deal with me. I was so pestery some forum members I'm sure were probably thinking "Calm down for the love of God!". LOL

But my point folks is that he answered every-technical-and husbandry-question-I-had. And I had LOADS. And he did it without complaint, and with loads of info in the process. While he was doing for others here on RC mind you.

Oh God, I'm going to look at each and every minute detail of this.
It's going to be like Christmas for me, you know that right?
My poor family for the upcoming week.

Melev, I simply cannot think of anyone who deserves this more.
I love all tanks here let's face it, but I guess it's your aesthetic. I guess it's similar to mine and that's why your tank and corals grabbed me in such a way.

K. I'm goin in.....

The Lily.

lol

Oh God I'm finished reading it.
I'm speechless.
That doesn't happen very often.

Going to finish my twins' Easter baskets.
And afterwards...get ready for some (familiar and pestering) questions, comments, this time about your LPS. (squee)
