Hi,
This is one awesome build..I thought your current tank is one of the best out there already so I am sure this is gonna blow us all away and set a new standard. I noticed you have the Tunze's, just wondering how you plan to "fix" em to the tank, considering the thickness of your Acrylic tank. I'll be watching this one from the UK. Tall tanks are the way to go..mine is a "shorty" 3footer tall. U da bomb man!

I can't wait to see pics of you stocking this tank. My new tank is only 30" tall and I know I'm going to get wet every time I put something anywhere near the bottom. Congratulations on living your dream!

Ching - I've noticed that tanks in europe (such as elos) and asia (ADA) tend not to have surface skimming "overflows" the way most american tanks do. I seem to remember you mentioning in your old thread that you don't like the look of them (and I totally agree!). I'm trying to finalize my own system design. I am not convinced that given the turn over rate and jumbo skimmers I will be running that a big overflow is needed. Curious what your thought process was for the "ching-style" overflow. It appears you drill the holes well below the waterline and count on all the turbulence you are creating to break up the surface tension anyway.

Your at it again!

Hey buddy, glad to see you at it again! Having stood there in front of the stairway where your other two tanks are, is that the room you are using? Removing your other two tanks? I needed a good reason to come back to your country again, as I had such a blast last time, and enjoyed seeing your incredible reefs, that maybe next summer you will have it done and ready for showing off again! Keep up the good work. I am happy the fruit business improved! Richard TBS |

Here are some diagrams for your reference. But these are the old sketch, there will be some improvement on the actual setup.

Fruit business is not so good. But who cares. This tank is in another building, not the same as the one you visited. Let me know when you will come to Thailand. I will buy you dinner. Okay?
