Wow!
Do you have a positive ID on that bad boy? Is your coral munching caper solved? BTW: The pictures make it look like it went rather smoothly. Personally, I was hoping for more shennanigans, tomfoolery and grabass. ![]()

Tim and I were quite uneasy about how everything came out of the tank. Re aquascaping was a snap. Tim said "that was so easy". Before he finished the sentence he knew we would be jinxed. Not sure what's gonna happen, but ready for anything.
The worm is headed for a giant jar of formalyn in Tim's basement. He's weird like that.

It's Alive!!!
Well I may be a little off but my broken footed business partner wants me to keep it alive. Thinking new mascot. Name suggestions? Maybe anyone who reaches through the liverock and doesn't get attached a la Flash Gordon, wins a prize.

EW ! I guess I should stop complaining about the two that are in my tank.
They are between 8 - 10 inches now.

OK, I'll play the noob... Why did you take this worm out of your tank? Is it just one more thing you are trying as part of your quest to figure out what's eating your corals? Or, did you actually see it eating your corals?
Articles like this one seem to indicate that (while ugly) these worms are o.k. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-04/rs/index.php Isn't the author of this article a possible speaker at at upcoming event? Maybe it would be something to have him comment on? |

Most likely an eunicid but I don't see a head. Are you sure you got the whole thing? Because if you didn't the anterior end will regenerate the rest of the body over time.

![]() Capt, do you have any closeup pictures of the head? I'd be very interested in Leslie's thoughts on what you were/are dealing with and the likelyhood that it is your coral nipping culprit. Mark |
