Whats up Joe,congrats on TOTM again.People have to see the tank in person. The corals in there are very large. One of the top 5 best tanks IMO.

The reason should be clear to you if you look at the original TOTM article and this one. The growth patterns are amazing to see, and the longevity of the tank is definitely praise-worthy.

I only wish I could have visited it in person while I was in Southern California over the past few days.

Whenever you see a good tank, feel free to nominate it. We are always looking for worthy systems.

Marc & quiksilver: Thank you both very much.

ClownReef®: That was my initial thought also when I was originally asked. But I would agree that, at least for me, it's always interesting to see how featured tanks are doing after time has elapsed.

orangekush4: Thanks Kevin for the kind words.

jdfenn81: The tank is 2'x2'x8' in dimension.

tfp: Thanks Tim. I appreciate that.

In regards to the air injection system, I made up a graphic to illustrate how it's done in my tank. Unfortunately, this didn't make it into the article so here it is for those interested...

Joseph.

Holy moley! I had unsubscribed to your threads in the past, because I was getting about 25 emails a day with replys to your threads. And I lost track of it. I am FLOORED! by the beauty of your tank. And it is staggering the thought, composition and dedication of the equiptment room.

Amazing!!

Aaron

Joseph, your tank is truly deserved second TOTM.
Just like Marc said, the longevity of the tank is definitely praise-worthy.
Congratulation!
I wish we can meet up someday.

As someone who has seen this tank in person let me just say...

Ah....um....oh... You would do the same.

In my opinion Joe represents the Ultimate Reefer. His DIY skills are second to none, and his dedication to his tank is evident in the article. If you have a chance to see it in person, pay Joe a months rent...because it will take that long to see everything.

Congrats again Mr. Weatherson.

That is an super set up, great write up with lots of extras. This TOTM is very much deserved, congratulations. I agree that since an already great tank should just get better with time it should be featured again. Props to you, this is an awesome reef!
Congrats again.

Marc, well done on the page as well. This is world class!

Joseph,

in this picture:

What is the book on the cart in the middle of the room. The one that looks like a 3 ring binder? Do you keep a log, stats, photos?? Just curious.

Mr. Weatherson - Beautiful write up.

I am a former CVR as as we lived in Clovis for many years. Recently relocated back to the midwest, which has basements for fish rooms! I am curious about your air exchange system. I see the piping coming out of the canopy and then a second pipe which appears to come out of the other end of the canopy. I am having issues in my fish room and am looking at different methods for fresh air exchange in the room controlled by humidity and temperature. Do you have such a system for this room or do you simply rely on air conditioning? By the way - our electric bill is 1/3 of what it was - sorry had to throw some smack!

Congrats again, I have followed your thread for a long time.

Your pictures and reef are amazing and have gave me inspiration for my own tank.
