fishkids 180g starfire build. =]

ok so i'm finally starting my 180g and i thought i would start a build thread for it. the tank dim. are 48" by 36" by 34". the tank is being built by coast to coast aquariums. front 3 sides are starfire and it's an external overflow box. black silicone and back wall is painted black. the plan is to have it SPS dominated. i am going to run a GEO 618 cal reactor and a BK mini 200. the sump is being built my MAD tanks(thanks!). i should start setting everything up next weekend. thanks for looking!

Hey Matt, where'd you hear of coast to coast aquariums? Can you give me their contact info please? Also, may I ask what you paid for that custom tank? PM me if you want. Thank you.

Sweet stuff.

matt, heres a ink to some acrylic rod
http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/pro...oduct_id=18413

i think half inch would be strong enough for you to put all the rocks together. Using 2 part epoxy is a major PITA, even with rods holding the rocks down. unless the surface is bone try, holdfast wont stick long enough before something slips.

what i did was used rods to tie my rock together, then i sprayed some great stuff foam in all the crevices i wanted filled in. it expanded and hardened, holding things together pretty well with lots of surface area

thanks but i think i'm just gonna stack the big pieces. and then use foam in the bridge. hthe branch isn't a huge piece of rock so i think the foam will hold it.
