closed loop comparisons.. help a newbie!
I am at a crossroads trying to decide how to plumb my closed loop for my 30g aimed mainly for LPS and soft corals.
I am considering using a horizontal calfo style manifold above my tank like ![]() or plumbing directly into the tank via bulkheads like this tank: (a guy from RT)having the manifold would eliminate the need for drilling the glass, but i don't plan on having a hood, so it could be unsightly.. let me know what your opinions are (mr calfo's would be great too). thanks! |

It depends on what your needs are. IMO you will get much more flow from the CL Manifold, and it's easier to install. Instead of a hood, can you make a wood rim that will hide the plumbing?
