Wow! Look at that.. No skimmer? You have a great looking tank there. I guess high priced pieces of acrylic are overrated. Great job!

reefez: Yes, he uses a skimmer.

From the article:

"Initially, I used a Prizm skimmer by Red Sea, but soon determined that it was insufficient for the size of my system, so after 15 months of operation I replaced it with an AquaC Remora skimmer powered by a Maxijet 300 gph powerhead; this considerably improved the water quality."

Hey congratulations on TOTM. I was very pleased to see someone with an everyday down to earth tank win it instead of a I spent $50k on the tank and set-up + another $10k on a equipment room.

Anyways keep it up. The display is awesome.

I am one of the few unhappy reefers in Greece, who hasn't seen manos tank by proximity yet .He is a good friend of mine and an excellent reefer .

Hello, first I want to thank Reef Central for the hospitality and to Skipper for selecting my tank as Tank of the Month and for his trustiness, thanks Skipper......

I believe that for create a beautiful and successful reef tank the main is the love for this hobby and not the crazy equipment...

Wow , great tank and nice to see somthing this beautiful, going against the grain. ( no sump and hob skimmer) I also have a large 125gal tank with just a remora pro and a canister filter. This tank gives me hope . Thanks!!!
