Buffing Acrylic Aquariums
I'm almost done sanding out my 275g acrylic tank, being new to removing scratches from acrylic I sanded to close to the corners. Now I am trying to figure out what the best buff pad I could use to get into the corners. I've read mixed thoughts on the Mother's Power Cone. Anyone have ideas for the hard to get into corners and what to use?

Check out SLIEF and his threads. He's got some really good tutorials on how to buff acrylic for a tank that is currently running. If yours is empty, it'll still work for you.

Corners are tough with a buffer... Best bet would be to sand it out going all way to 12,000 grit along the edges. Then use a hand sanding pad using Novus 3, 2 and 1 by hand if you can't get a wheel buffer pad in there. It might help to tape the other pane so as to not burn the corners with the edge of the pad if you're going to try to get a wheel pad in the corners..

Great video, and great suggestion of taping off the other panels near the corners to prevent burning. My buff pads should be here tomorrow or Wednesday, I may be looking for some more tips as I start buffing. Thanks again.
