All at once, but slowly, over a few minute so it's not highly concentrated in one area.

Little bit over 2 days, the bryopsis ends seem to be turning white, not sure if you can see that in the pic, but it seems like it's swaying more and losing strength.

I dosed tonight. 650mg of active ingredient fluconazole into 34gal of water. (Each 200mg capsule actually contained 380mg of powder)

I am curious about the uv exposure thing. Anything I run across specifies UV-254 and UV-210 as the degrading UV. You say to turn off leds but I have serious doubts that any aquarium led fixtures have any real UV in them. The lowest my fixture has are 420nm, 450nm, and 460nm. Not sure we need to be turning off our fixtures or am I missing something? I guess is you have anything under 400nm it may be wise but even so... 400nm is a far cry from 254 and 210.

I never even thought to measure... I wonder if the other is just some filler to keep them from looking empty though?

I needed 3.25 capsules so I busted out the mg scale. I wasn't surprised that it was almost half filler, from what I read it's a compound mostly made of calcium.

I agree about the wavelengths. The information that led me to try all of this was from Forums in another language that had to be translated. Which there it was suggested also to turn off Actinics for the same reason when translated loosely. I followed it as I wanted the medication to be successful. That being said if you want and can try it with LED's on then please do so that we can figure out what works and what doesn't.

I did not changed anything during treatment. Lighting schedule, intensity, dosing etc remains and all bryopsis are gone. GAC still in my sump, the medicine works.

Day 3, I can now see a lot more turning white and start to die off, looking very promising.

24 hours in. I have not turned my LEDs off but I did turn off the GFO, carbon, and skimmer.

Here is our little bryopsis friend. It isn't happy!

And a close up of the bottom right.

Cool. I started up a small 10 gallon tank to run an experiment on. I placed 2 rocks in with 100mg of diflucan, and 5 gallons of tank water. Heater, power head, no light. I am hoping it also kills neomeris. I will post pictures if it works.

Great close up shot! That must be a hell of a camera.

I've been following this thread and I have some Bryopsis in my tank, but nothing like what you have got. My 1 or 2 spots of it you guys probably wouldnt even notice. I find it very interesting what this stuff does. It looks like it works well. Im just worried that if I put it in my tank to clear up the water then my tank will be dependent on it. Thoughts about that?

Nothing better than the feeling you get watching bryopsis die. I hate this stuff so much i used to pull off all the large chunks in my tank, throw it in a bucket and dump a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in with it just to here it fizzle and die. Whoever figured this out deserves reefer of the year.

Thanks! It's a Cannon d5 mark 2 w/ 50mm f2.5 macro lense. It takes much better photos than I do lol. I'm a newbie to the dlsr club . Right now my theory is take 100 shots and one should be usable

I'm not sure if the tank will depend on it. This specific type of algae has to come in from somewhere. Right now it's in my qt so hopefully it dies and never makes it to my main system. Since its a 34gal tank my cost was like $3. I may use this during each round of qt in this tank... Seems like it works and is cheap insurance. Time will tell!

I had a full blown infestation in my tank, i have been purposefully not touching a thing in it, not even pulling out the dead bryopsis so that we can get an accurate representation of what it's doing.
