Waspfish Venom Potency?

I've had a Paracentropogon zonatus waspfish for a while now and I was curious about how potent its sting was. I'm not worried about being stung by it, as it is almost always under a rock and I can usually find it. However I used to have a very aggressive flame hawkfish that I traded back to the lfs that attacked the waspfish and got stung, resulting in a huge white scar down its side but this didn't affect its behavior at all and I was informed by the lfs that it was being a real nuisance in the tank it was sold to as well. I thought from what I'd read about the stinging capabilities that a sting would kill a fish that small. Maybe P. Zonatus is different from other wasp species?
