Chaeto thru USPS

I ordered a small amount of chaeto via postal delivery from online.

When the package arrived today the water it was in was cold. Nyc winter trmp approx 50-60 DEGREES!

Doesn't his mean the chaeto is dead now?

Does chaeto survive 4 days without light and low temps?

Should i contact the website i purchased from?

There was no heating pad or heated element in the box at all...

Im just wondering if its dead algae.

Call and tell them this, better email them to have a written record. Put cheto in your tank, if it dies you can remind them this and ask for a refund. But I think it will most likley be okay.

I wouldn't be concerned. Algae is pretty tuff stuff.
Try it & see if it grows before worrying.
