Who makes the best tanks?

I'm looking for an upgrade in size from a 30g cube. I see a bunch of different brands such as Red Sea, Waterbox, and Innovative Marine. Is there a brand that is regarded as the best? Im thinking of going with an 80g but open to any ideas or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I just received mt Waterbed peninsula and they're fantastic tanks. Way superior plumbing than Red Sea

Define best..one mans best may be anothers worst..

In general all of those brands make good tanks but there may be specific reasons why one may not work with your plans..

Do more research on water box. They’ve had their horror stories too. They’re another imported bulk built tank from Asia. All those tanks in that same price neighborhood will be similar enough. Once you start looking at top shelf. You’re getting into tankme usa, reef savvy, and a couple others that slip my mind. Elos probably makes the best “made to order” “add to cart and it arrives in 2-3 business days” class tank. None of the above mentioned can even come close to their level of quality, fit, and finish. In the world of glass tanks, best usually means way more expensive than the rest. A truly custom build will require talking with the builder about your needs and getting on a wait list. Most people don’t do that for a tank less than 100 gallons

I just bought a Miracles Tank, they are in Canada. Great tank and the owner is great. Mine came scratched and he didn't hesitate to pay to ship it back and repair it. They Also make a custom overflow built onto the back of the tank as an option.

Reef Savvy if you can afford and wait a bit, whole nother level from the manufactured tanks like Red Sea and WaterBox.

After being in the market recently I thought WaterBox was nice but I went with a local builder. Complete custom from ground up. Prices were surprisingly close and I got exactly what I wanted.

Not to open a new thread because I was just looking at buying the red sea reefer 250 system, I wanted to ask you all for you recommendations and input on the different tanks out there. It's been a while since I've been in the hobby and I wanted a very nice yet somewhat "compact" tank.

I like the dimensions of the RSR 250 which puts it around 50-60 gallons IIRC.

I also looked at the Elos 70 system but tank and stand alone are $3200+.

Based on previous recs above I just sent a price quote request in to Reef Savvy for a 36x24x20 which is closer to 75 gallons.

I checked out Waterbox per above recommendations there. Seems like the similar dimension tank in length and width is the 100.3 system or about 97 gallon.

Ideally I wanted to keep it relatively smaller in size, similar to RSR 250 but if the quality isn't there I'm definitely interested in hearing what other direction you all would go in this situation. looking to keep about 3ft long max, 20-24" width. Ideally to keep tank/stand around the $2k budget if possible.

You’re probably right...but when someone says “who makes the BEST tank?” I’ll answer objectively without a price ceiling stated

I'm looking into 3 tanks if you all have recommendations for one over another.

Sent a quote in to reef savvy for a 36x24x20. I am guessing that it might be a while before I hear back from here.

Elos 100 system (75gallon)

Planet Aquarium crystaline reef 36". Seems like you get a lot for the price here including tank, sump and stand ~2k?

Too small of a tank to be haggling over. Go to Petco and be done with it.
