Yes the bulkhead is in the refuge, there will be a seperate 280 gph pump pulling from the sump into the refuge with the water flowing over the top and back into the sump

You did an excellent job on the stand, tank and sump. the tank is beautiful and I can't wait to see pictures when it's full of water and life.
I wish I had the skills you have.

Water test on sump went great, no leaks, I had a little bowing on the back of the refuge so i will add a brace at that area.
I also took the advice of a few of you and decided to go with a single pump. I placed my order today, Reeflow barracuda, 2- skimz sk-201 kone skimmers, red sea wavemaster pro, and six 1600 gph oceanstream powerheads.

I hope to recieve my pump and skimmers early next week and should have the intire system up and running with a fresh water test within 2 weeks.
I will also be starting on my light hood this weekend. I will be running six 400 watt MH bulbs and 8- 48" T5 actinic bulbs

question about the brace? are you going to put a pull brace on the refugium side or a push brace on the return section side?

i figured you would put it on the sump side so you have better access to the refugium. (youll probably have your hands in the refugium then you will right there on the sump side.)

just wanted your opinion on it.

also, where are you going to put the pump? are you going to tap in the middle of the sump, or run a pipe from 1 side through the whole thing to the middle.
just curious?

*or, you could always put an exterior euro brace on the refugium using some 1/2x2 pieces of acrylic.*
all just depends on the extensiveness of the bowing

I will be putting a push brace from back of refuge to back of sump about 3" down from refuge water line the bowing was only about a 1/4" in the top center. I will make the decision on return location and configuration this weekend. I will be cutting a access hole aprox 14 1/2"x 14 1/2" thru the base of the wall in the garage which backs up to tank location in my dining room so I will have access to connect plumbing. So return location will some what be determined by stud location in garage wall.
The pump will be located in the garage to cut down on heat and noise

Correction to wavemaker, apparently they are no longer making the red sea so I went with the reef fanatic wavemaker
