Jecod DC pump - which model 2018?

So which is the latest and most reliable Jecod model as of late 2018?

I see DC, DCP, DCT, DCS and DCW. Anyone know what the differences are and which one to get? I need about 700GPH.

From what I read the new versions are as reliable as the Reef Octopus VarioS and maybe more reliable than the Vectras.

BTW, what's the long term verdict on Ecotech Vectra pumps now a days?

I switched some of my DCT pumps for the DCP pumps. The DCP series did not have the annoying whine like the DCT series IMO.

I believe that the DCQ is the "latest".. I think it just has a new "wave" function built into the controller to allow "surge" type operation.. Not sure about it being the most reliable as I don't own one but in general Jebaos pumps are usually somewhat better with each new version..

I personally have a DCP and highly recommend it. It has been quite reliable for me so far and has been running 1.5+ years without missing a beat and without any cleaning what so ever..

Yes, the DCQ is jebao's newest DC model.

On a side note, I have read great reviews on their new SOW wave makers. Very tempted to try one.

What the Lol.

Would this be considered "Reefing Roulette"? haha

Do you dip corals? Do you have no fish or just do DI dips and call it a day?

Very interesting. When I had my 300gl freshwater tank, I had a 24/7 drip system and never did a water change over the course of 3yrs. Now fresh and salt with corals is on opposite spectrums though lol

I do not dip corals or anything else....
I do not QT fish..
I do not acclimate either other than a quick 5-10 minute float of the bag (usually just enough time for me to get my jacket off and grab a beer or whatever really)
I now have 6 fish (just added 3 last weekend.. 3 I've had for years now)..

I do not buy fish from shady stores or even tanks that don't look healthy..
Same for corals..
I'm also not afraid of hitchhikers or taking care of problems "if" they arise and really just don't want to put the time/effort into preventative measures at this point in my life.. Normally I'm all for being proactive but in reefing I personally have chosen to be reactive.

I understand 100%.

I am afraid of hitchhikers Lol. I do bayers dip all corals and observe new fishies in a 10gl. The 10gl is getting old tho, I might tear it down soon.
