phosban media

a friend of mine gave me a phos ban reactor
i have a 120 gallon tank and my phosphates are not bad really

what media should i put in this reactor to make it most useful ??

well.. for starters.. what "other" problems are you having besides phosphate.
If you don't have a phosphate problem.. don't run phosphate reducing media as you can strip the water of whats left or reduce it too much and cause problems too..

IMO just toss it in the closet and don't use it..
Some people run biopellets if they have a nitrate problem but IMO liquid carbon dosing is just easier/better..

If you want you can just run regular granular carbon in it too to but thats really not typically something you can test for to see if you really need it or if its doing any good.. as DOC/TOC testing is expensive..

yes no phosphate issues right now can i use it for carbon or anything else good for tank

I agree that running some carbon might be a good safety net.
