500g SPS Tank ( Indonesia )

Hi guys,my name is edric from Indonesia. i started this hobby about 2 years ago. I was starting from 260g LPS tank . Around May 2009 i decided to build another 700g SPS system tank at home .The preparation took me about 5 months to build this tank.

These are the data :
Main Tank : 260 L x 100 W x 80 H cm (T 15mm )
Sump : 160 L x 90 W x 70 H cm (T 12mm )
Return Pump : Reeflo Hummerhead Gold
Circulation pump : Royal Exclusiv Red Dragon II Titanium Pump 170W
Skimmer : X-Treme Double Injector Becket System
Skimmer : Needle wheel 2xAquaBee 1200-1500L 8 x 31"
Denitrator : >2000L (8kg media) 8.00” OD & Pump 3000lph - w/Aquabee pump germany
Fluidizer : 2 pcs (Fluidizer Reactor ( excl pump) - 6.00"OD H16"(40cm) flowrate 1000 l/h
Calcium Reactor : Deltec PF 601S
Chiller : 2 hp
Ozonizer : Sander 100, controlled by Pinpoint ORP/REDOX
Piping : krylon BlackStone paint

Lighting :- MH SE 400w 20,000k (3 pcs) XM - Diamond Reflector
- Giesseman *T5 - AQUABLUE PLUS 54W ( 4 pcs)
T5 - ACTINIC PLUS 54W (4 pcs)
Reflector - Giesseman 4ft T5 (8 pcs)
Elbiru T5 Quicktronic eBallast - 2 x 54W (4 pcs)

Wavemaker : Tunze Turbelle Stream 4 x 6105 multicontroller 7095
Tunze Turbelle Stream 2 x 6205

All the pipes are painted by Krylon Blackstone...



Set up of the RED Dragon pump for circulation in the main Tank... I drill 4 holes@1/2" at the bottom of the aquarium. I am using Loc-Line for SCWD Wavemaker for these water Flow.

After setting up about 5 hours... it's time to fill the water.

After cycling the water for 1.5 month , i put Acro from Bali.







birdnest from Bali...









i hope i can maintain this tank and make it even more colourful & nicer in the future.Hope to learn more from you guys in RC.

i just check the parameter of the water ( 30 oct 2009 ) :

PH = 8.0
specific Gravity = 1.025
temp = 24 C
nitrate = 0.25
Phosphate = undetectable by Salifert
Alkalinity = 8 dkh
Calcium = 400 ppm
Magnesium = 1250ppm

Yes , i am lucky enough to live here ... the corals are easier and cheaper in here... i will update if there are new corals...

Absolutely stunning! The glass is perfectly clean all the way around too which I really like.

Wow... I'll be tagging along for sure!

Please don't take offense to me asking but I'm really curious as to what the typical cost of your coral heads cost there since they are mostly local species.

Acro about USD 10 - 20. LPS are ranging from USD 3-20 .
