I have one setup. It's very simple. I just have a 2 liter bottle with holes poked in the bottom and then I drilled a hole in the cap and ran a hose from my skimmer air intake into the hole in the bottle cap and siliconed around the hose at the top of the cap to seal it. It provides a small boost in PH.....don't recall how much I'm getting but I think it's at least .10 increase. The PH increase will depend on your environment. People claim anywhere from .05 - .20 increase.

Sound like a cook setup can you post pics? I'm thinking of going with pump connected to PVC that feeds water up and across to where the scrubber is I just don't know what pump size I should use ?

You don't need all that much, just enough to get water across whatever size screen you want to use. I would think you could get away with a small mag pump or even a maxijet depending on piping, height and length of screen.

I think Chris is describing his CO2 scrubber and not his algae scrubber.

Lol that would be why I had trouble picturing that in my head since I've never really seen a co2 scrubber
