I got a good size purple tang this morning and a Fowleri tang as well. Wasn't able to get any pic at all of the fowleri.

Tired of suicide jumpers. Have lost several fish on the floor. Put an end to that today. Turned up my lights some to counteract and then turned them back some as it looked like too much. Comparing snapshot images from the camera it looked a brighter then before.

Nice videos- your fish selection certainly makes the tank look a bit smaller than it is in video but the rockwork is great.

Thanks and yes I may have a problem when some of these large fish get towards their full size someday.

Purple will look great in the tank!

A little jealous since the balance of our tank decided a small purple wasn't right for our tank and it's other inhabitants...

Thanks for the nice big purple! I figured he would hold his own with my mean angel in there and sure enough. Angel never tried anything at all and they are good together.

The Fowleri just started coming out yesterday and is checking things out.

Thanks, the coraline is spreading pretty good to make it all purdy!

I put the screen covers on and you could see a noticable drop in light with my eyeballs so I turned them up some, ended up frying out a couple of sps pieces in there and I moved them. Turned the lights back down.

That's why Gawd made PAR meters.

Yes apparently my eyes do not make a good par meter. Waiting for that Neptune one to come out. Even though I find it kind of silly as its only monitoring one single point in the tank.

I also been looking at a BioTek Marine par sensor that plugs into a computer.

Not sure if you can really tell or not but Im pretty impressed. I never really had much algae growth but there was a little green coloring on the rock in places. Well that green has all been eliminated recently and its just white right now where it was. Purple is covering up nicely all over the place too! I never got all that much for a clean up crew, and I am glad as they would probably starve. The scrubber downstairs is beginning to show some red algae too as it matures.

And of course some more pictures as I enjoy taking loads of them. Good time to sit down and post these from yesterday after a long day of installing a Cat Scan machine.

Kind of noticed with the big tank that once I took care of the phosphates with GFO and the GHA went away, the purple started coming in fast.

Also never really monitored ALK before I added some coral. Bumped it up to 7.5 and now it's really taking off. Was hanging around 6.2 or so.

I never had good success with GFO with the old system, seemed to cost a boat load of money and not do enough. I used lanthanum chloride and a 10 micron filter sock to remove the phosphate I had initially, which only took 5ml and it was gone next day. Great big bottle for pools will last forever lol and was about $20.
