Hello,

I have been on the notify list for cone3 or EM300. Is the only way to get the is to wait weeks? I am scared to place order and wait months. I am ready to buy today. I have looked at other options like reef octopus prime 200 int but specs seem far better on the aquamaxx. On another note how is their support? I have seen often when a company can't ramp up to meet demand often struggle on to provide support.

Thanks,
Z

With such a high demand for the products, unfortunately many of the skimmers have a pretty hefty wait time. At this point, placing the backorder with Marine Depot is your best bet to ensure one of the first available skimmers is shipped to you.

From our experience AquaMaxx support has always been prompt and thorough. If you have questions, you can get in touch with them directly via email info@aquamaxxaquariums.com.

I placed an order for the CO-2 last week when the backorder was listed as 4-6 weeks, but the site now shows 3-6 months. Is there a way to know (ballpark) when my specific order will be fullfilled? Order #101622681 . Thanks!

Hi disclosure11. Thank you very much for shopping with Marine Depot!

We will be able to fulfill all AquaMaxx CO-2 Protein Skimmer backorders when our next shipment arrives, which is estimated to be delivered to our California warehouse not next week, but the week after.

We were hoping it would be next week, and that is still possible. Basically the shipment arrives at the port in Long Beach, CA next week... but it often takes a few days to clear the dock and make its way here where we'll inspect the contents and place the items into inventory.

I hope this is a more favorable reply than you were expecting!

Let me know if you have any further questions. I'd love to see a photo once you've got the skimmer up and running.

Jeff @ MD

Hi Jeff,
Spoke to Guito that the shipment should arrive by the end of month, would you know the updated status of exactly when they will arrive to your facility for distribution. I am the 9th on the list for the CO-1, thx.
Spencer

We've already begun fulfilling backorders. Have you received a shipment confirmation? If not, you're welcome to supply me with your order # here or via PM and I can check on it for you. Thanks!

What is the best water depth for the EM-200??? I know it is a range between 8 and 10" but what is the ideal???

Thanks in advance...

You don't want the skimmer in more than 10" of water; you should see optimal results above 8" and under 10".

Hi s2nhile,

Are they small fish or medium/large fish. It sounds like a pretty heavy bioload. If they are mostly small fish, you can definitely get by with the CO-1. However, if they are medium/large fish, we would recommend either the EM-200 or ConeS CO-2.

Im looking at either the EM200 or ConeS CO-2, do you recommend one over the other? Also any idea when I could get my hands on one if I order today?

Thank you!

I got my new aquamaxx cone co-3 and going to be having a custom sump made and was wondering what is the best water height for this skimmer to work in. Any input would be great.

Thanks

Hi Zer0., Both are great skimmers. The ConeS CO-2 would slightly better if you have enough space to accommodate the skimmer. The larger reaction chamber and the cone diffusers will give you more performance. Both are currently sold out. We would recommend calling to pre-order you skimmer as they are fulfilled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Hi Wyattroa, I think we were able to get one to you already. If you need anything else, please let us know.

HI Markemark, The 'best' height depends on the specific water parameters. Anything between 8"-10" usually works just fine for most. As long as you are within that water level, you can simply adjust the outlet pipe to control the water level inside the skimmer.

In the specs both have the "chamber diameter" listed as 6".

Is this not the case?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the diameters are the same. However, the EM200 has the pump inside the skimmer, while the ConeS CO-2 has the pump on the outside. The size of the reaction chamber is noticeably larger on the CO-2.

Ok thanks, that makes sense. Im planning on a light to moderatly stocked 180 gallon. Between the ConeS CO2 and the EM300.

Does that include the Needle Wheel Impeller?
Please have the web master change the description to state if it does or not.
Thank you.
